The Cult of Moloch
In 1998, Detective Kevin Murphy wrote a memo to the Assistant United States Attorney – Southern District of New York, indicating that in February, 1996, David Berkowitz spoke to a Yonkers Police Department confidential informant (convicted criminal John Lentini) about a Yonkers cult member involved with the disappearance and murder of young children. According to Murphy’s report, Berkowitz stated that Daniel Carlton Gajdusek, a prominent medical doctor, Nobel Prize winner, employee of the U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH), and self-proclaimed pedophile, was a principal member of the Yonkers “Son of Sam” cult. According to the informant, Gajdusek was referred to as “Moloch.” In 2008 Gajdusek died at the age of 85 while living in Norway.
Maury Terry seemed to believe that “Moloch” was instead, James P. Donovan, of Rye, NY. Maury also referred to Donovan as “Mr. Real Estate” in his book. Maury was able to dig a bit into Donovan’s background. See Maury’s investigation files on James P. Donovan.
Another individual who was alleged to have been a principal member of this cult was a retired banker and millionaire from Riverdale (the Bronx), NY, Alfred Hunt Howell. It was rumored that Howell was the mysterious “Mr. Real Estate,” and referred to by some cult insiders as “Moloch.” However, no conclusive evidence has surfaced to support this claim. According to the NYPD, Howell originally appeared to have died of natural causes in his home on April 23, 1996. However, in September 1996, detectives in Harrison, N.Y., arrested Nikolaj Amann on unrelated burglary charges stemming from a house break-in occurring in Westchester County, NY. While in custody, Amann confessed to shooting Howell during a botched robbery inside Howell’s Bronx mansion. After having Howell’s body exhumed, a forensic examination found evidence of a gunshot wound. Although NYPD detectives entirely missed the fact that Howell died of a gunshot wound in his bedroom, the homicide has not been publicly related to any cult activity. HOWEVER, the most abhorrent, and truly sickening character that came to light during this investigation has to be Ronald J. Spychala. David Berkowitz lists Spychala’s name in a signed letter (below) detailing many individuals involved in “Son of Sam” crimes and cult-related activities.
Spychala’s child-sex-crimes are documented in the file folders below (discretion is advised). Spychala was court-martialed and dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Navy for child sex crimes. If there truly was a “Cult of Moloch,” Spychala would have almost certainly had some sick role in it.
“MOLOCH“
To an outsider, the name “Moloch” may be a curious title to bestow upon someone, unless you are aware of the historical significance of “Moloch,” which is detailed below. Considering the allegations of child sex-trafficking, kidnapping, and murder within this cult, “Moloch” may be a title or name given to some (more than one) of the upper echelon members of the “Son of Sam” cult – members who used the “Son of Sam” murders as a convenient distraction from their other, more insidious activities.
Biblical references:
“Moloch” is a name or a term which appears in the Hebrew Bible several times, primarily in the book of Leviticus. The Bible strongly condemns practices which are associated with Moloch, practices which appear to have included child sacrifice. The word “Moloch” occurs 8 times in the Masoretic text of the Hebrew Bible. All of these texts condemn Israelites who engage in practices associated with Moloch, and most associate Moloch with the use of children as offerings.
Leviticus repeatedly forbids the practice of offering children to Moloch:
And thou shalt not give any of thy seed to set them apart to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
— Leviticus 18:21
Moreover, thou shalt say to the children of Israel: Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones. I also will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people, because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile My sanctuary, and to profane My holy name. And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from that man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and put him not to death; then I will set My face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go astray after him, to go astray after Molech, from among their people.

Jeremiah condemns practices associated with Moloch as showing infidelity to Yahweh:
And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to set apart their sons and their daughters unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into My mind, that they should do this abomination; to cause Judah to sin.

In John Milton’s “Paradise Lost” (1667), Moloch is one of the greatest warriors of the fallen angels:
First MOLOCH, horrid King besmear’d with blood
Of human sacrifice, and parents tears,

Their children’s cries unheard that passed through fire

The Genius and the Boys
This 2009 BBC documentary film, produced by Swedish radio and TV producer Bosse Lindquist, investigates late American Nobel laureate Carleton Gajdusek’s enigmatic discoveries. From the late 1940’s and onwards he commuted the world, focusing on the most isolated peoples still remaining on the globe. He adopted 57 children to his commune at the National Institutes of Health, MA, USA -most of them boys.
The film reveals how Gajdusek in fact was a self-proclaimed pedophile, who admitted to having had sex with numerous other children as well. One man who was abused in childhood is interviewed in the film, as well as several legendary scientists who were friends of Gajdusek and deemed the sexual parts of his character as of less importance.
